I can't launch virbela


App can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.
  1. Hold the Control key, and click the app icon.
  2. Choose Open from the shortcut menu. (note: the pop-up window will look similar)


Windows protected your PC (Windows prevented an unrecognized app from starting)
  1. Click the More info link.
  2. Click on Run anyway button.

My avatar is a silhouette or The environment is mostly black

Try running in windowed mode at the highest resolution available.
Try running in fullscreen mode and/or at the Fastest Quality setting.

virbela.exe has stopped working (crashed)

If this happens before a login screen is displayed, there is likely an issue with the graphics capabilities of your computer. One potential solution is to update your graphics driver.

I can't change the lecture hall screen

If you require a lecturer account, please email [email protected] and we will update your account if your administrator allows it.

Virbela is running slowly

Make sure you are running on the Fastest Quality setting (configurable when you choose a resolution).
If you are using a laptop, you may want to set your power settings to High Performance.

The screens aren't loading properly

Try refreshing the screen by clicking the refresh button on the top right of the screen.

My Google Slides aren't displaying in the environment

Set the sharing settings to be publicly visible or editable
  1. Click Share in the top right of document.
  2. Click Get shareable link in top right of window.
  3. Change to can edit if desired: sharing dropdown
  4. Copy link to Paste into virbela.
  5. Click Done

There was a crash or something strange happened, can you fix it?

Please submit a bug report with the bug report tool packaged with virbela. It can send us log information from your computer that may help us track down the issue.

If you experience some strange behavior, often the best way to remedy the situation is to close the software and log back in.
